This is the moment overly-excited pitbull finally got to meet the new kitten that its owner had been hiding in the bathroom for two weeks.
However the dog made such extraordinary noises that it was hard to understand if it was feeling excited, scared or even aggressive about the new arrival.
A video of the three-year-old pitbull’s reaction was uploaded online by his owner, Kylie Alexis, on October 30 and has had more than four million views.
In the 17-second clip, shared on TikTok the pitbull is held and petted by its owner as it makes a strange, wimpering sound, and attempts to approach the kitten.
The kitten sits on a couch, observing the dog, looking nonplussed.
Kylie claims that the noise coming from her dog was because he was ‘really excited’ to see the new kitten.
‘He grew up with cats. He wasn’t stressed, just really excited,’ she commented.
‘He does that for food and to go to the potty and literally everything.’
An overly-excited pitbull made a strange blubbering sound when it met its owner’s new kitten that had been hidden away in the bathroom for two weeks. His owner explained: ‘He grew up with cats he wasn’t stressed, just really excited’
The owner explained the reason the animals were separated for two weeks was because the kitten had been rescued from ‘the side of the road’ and needed to see a vet before being slowly introduced to the dog.
A woman called Rhiannon in the comment section wrote that she didn’t like the pitbull’s reaction to the kitten and called them a ‘bully breed’.
Kylie clapped back, writing: ‘Him being a bully breed doesn’t have anything to do with it.
‘They’re loose all the time together. He was just excited to finally see him.’
The kitten sat on a couch, observing the whimpering pitbull, looking nonplussed. A video of the funny moment was uploaded to TikTok last month and has over 4million views
However, others saw the lighter side with one person writing: ‘Ma’am your dog is broken.’
Some people joked that he sounded like he was ‘underwater’ or ‘blowing bubbles in his milk through a straw’.
Two other pitbull owners recounted similar reactions from their ‘vocal’ dogs.
One wrote: ‘My pit[bull] has done this when her dad came home from deployment, sometimes these noises are just out of excitement or overwhelming feelings.’
Another described the moment her dog met her newborn baby for the first time, saying: ‘That’s the same reaction my female pittie had when she finally got to meet the baby I had been hiding in my belly for nine months.’
Kylie said the video of the introduction was filmed weeks ago and the pair are together all the time now.
A follow-up video shows the kitten and the pitbull happily playing with each other.
