Savvy shopper turns her $150 Nike sneakers into Louis Vuitton inspired designs

A fashion lover has revealed how she turned her $150 Nike sneakers into a pair of Louis Vuitton inspired designs, and now she has turned it into a business where she has sold hundreds of pairs.

The Sydney woman, who goes by the name Miss Customs online, shared how she regularly turns pairs of Nike Air Force 1 sneakers into custom-designed Louis-Vuitton sneakers and then sells them online, with prices starting from $299.

Posting on TikTok, Miss Customs said her ‘most popular custom’ is a design that adds the classic LV monogram to the toe of the shoe as well as the classic Nike tick.

To transform the shoes, Miss Customs first hunts down the correct leather paint by Angelus that is an exact colour match for the traditional Louis Vuitton colours.

Then, she paints them with a fine brush, and uses an even finer brush to add the traditional LV monogram.

Before every pair of shoes is completed, Miss Customs said she sprays them to ensure they are waterproof, stain-resistant and scratch-resistant.

‘Custom shoes can last several years, although this will vary according to the amount of wear and tear they endure,’ Miss Customs said.
