A driver that has been slammed into from behind by two cars has blamed a hatchback who ‘brake checked’ him – although some claim he was the one at fault.

The motorist recorded the incident on his dashcam as he drove down a street on Milperra Road in Revesby, Sydney on January 9.

After a car braked in front of him, two cars appear to slam into the motorist from behind.

The grey p-plater in front braked suddenly, and so the driver also stopped before continuing.

Two separate cars then ran into the back of the driver, the footage from Dash Cam Owners Australia shows.

‘Someone brake checking me and letting me get hit by two cars before taking off,’ the video is captioned.

But some commenters on the post said the dashcam driver was blaming the wrong motorist for the crash.

‘The cars that hit you were not keeping a safe distance so they are at fault,’ one remarked.

‘That was hardly a brake check. Driver appears to be very slow to respond to the lead car braking. Dash cam driver should’ve braked earlier and created a safe space when they moved into their lane,’ said another.

One person blamed all four drivers for the incident.

‘I see four drivers here that shouldn’t be on the road, [dashcam] driver for whatever they did in the first place, the car in front for responding the way they did, and the 2 inattentive tailgaters behind,’ they wrote.
