She started by soaking the dirty stove top grates in a sink of water with dish soap.

Next, Chantel – who’s known for sharing household tips and tricks on social media – made a paste using just bicarb soda and water. She then applied a thick layer of paste around the burners, leaving it to sit for 30 minutes.

She used the same paste to gently clean around the stove top with a microfibre cloth as she removed the stains from around the burners.

In an empty bottle, she mixed white vinegar and a dash of lemon juice to use as a spray around the burners.

Using a sponge, the mother gently scrubbed each burner until it was sparkling clean.

Dozens of people were amazed with her simple cleaning method, with many saying they couldn’t wait to try it out themselves.

Her cleaning trick comes just weeks after she shared her method for ‘oven cleaning made easy’.

‘To clean your oven while you sleep, you’ll need half a cup of baking soda, one tablespoon of dish soap and water,’ Chantel posted.

Combine these three ingredients until you have a ‘smooth paste’ that is easy to spread.

‘Apply a thin layer to your oven and leave it on overnight,’ Chantel said.

The next morning, simply find a cloth and wipe down the surfaces, taking care to remove the paste and focusing on any difficult areas.

You should follow this by spraying your oven with white vinegar, which will help to remove any ‘residue’ or grease.

The reason why this works is because baking soda is alkaline, which means it cuts through any acidic oven grease.

Meanwhile, the dish soap will ‘help to soften any built up grease’.

‘If you find it still doesn’t work, try leaving the mixture on for longer, or you may need to repeat the process a few times if there is a lot of built-up grease,’ Chantel said.

‘But it works a treat!’
