Bull injured in flip on Sydney highway is euthanised

A bull has been euthanised after the trailer it was travelling in flipped on a busy Sydney highway.

The ute towing a trailer with the bull inside rolled over on the northbound lanes of the M1, 200m north of the Kuring-Gai Chase overpass, about 7.20am on Tuesday.

Emergency services rushed to the scene and found the bull was seriously injured.

A vet was called, however they were unable to save the animal. No one else was injured in the incident.

NSW Police confirmed that the bull had to be euthanised due to the extent of his injuries. 

Traffic was backed up for almost 3km before all lanes reopened at 10am.
