An 8-week old baby girl has died after drowning in the bathtub of a western Sydney home.
Emergency services attended house in Shalvey at around midday on Tuesday after reports a baby was unresponsive.
The newborn was taken to Westmead Children’s Hospital in a serious condition, but she couldn’t be revived.

Homicide detectives are preparing to interview the mother, who is currently undergoing a mental health assessment in hospital.
A crime scene has been established at the property, and investigations are continuing.
A family friend said the baby girl was ‘bubbly, adorable’ and always smiling.
